Tripping Into The Next Sunrise...

I was not too far away from the beach when a Tsunami snuffed thousands of lives out in less than an hour on boxing day in India a few years ago. It highlighted the onslaught of the planet’s doomsday in a manner that we will never forget.
If natural catastropes such as these are not sufficient, you can always rely on mankind to find a way to destroy themselves. The recent nuclear missile test launch by North Korea may have shaken the foundation of trust and unity amongst nations but one can’t help but wonder if governments really need to prove their power through the creation of destructive elements.
Before long, other nations will find it more of a necessity to possess their own nuclear weapons to defend themselves should a nuclear war erupt. If that is not enough, we have a great measure of terrorism to deal with too!
So, living amidst all this madness; one has to constantly be alert and survive each day with the hope of tripping into the next sunrise.
Follow up:
Is it not good enough to just live and let live? Have we not caused enough harm to this beautiful planet? With more resources than any other planet in our galaxy, there is enough to go around for everyone!
On a much smaller scale we all seem to want so much more and there is nothing wrong with that. Its when you begin to hope that you have much more than everyone else that you lose your balance.
You have every right to be hungry for what you want but greed is something else. Greed is not a positive emotion. It lures you to places that nature would not abide.
Here is the point I am driving at. Focus on your life and refrain from the urge to judge or control others. You may not exactly be building a nuclear missile in your garage but even the smallest act of greed and jealousy can send sparks off in the wrong direction.
How and why do you think wars begin? What do you think triggered terror groups? Why do governments have the need to flex their muscles every now and then? When did communities and societies come apart?
It all leads to just one answer….and if you were to think about it, you will realize that each one of us has a part to play in it all. The game called life.
Life, fortunately; is not a game. Someone always loses in a game. That is the rule. In life, we all can win and that rule has to be accepted and believed for it to work.
Natural catastropes have and will occur but they will not harm you if you believe that they won’t. Fear it and you will most likely come face to face with your nightmare.
Well, I am not going to trip into another sunrise. I am going to slowly stroll into it and hope that you will too - with a tonne of new promises and hope!
