Physician, Heal Thyself!

There is a physician within each one of us. This physician can heal ailments and diseases that even the best medical fraternity can’t. Okay, so now you probably have confirmed your assumption that I am a loony with a weird brain-twitching disorder.
Does this mean that you just have to sit around and meditate yourself to wellness? Well, if you are not aware of this fact yet; I would like to be the first to announce that there are people out there who can actually control their body temperature, heartbeat and mortality at will! This, however, takes several years of practice and great faith in one’s ability to achieve the results.
I have no intention of heading off to the Himalayas nor am I suggesting that you do it (unless you have already packed your bags!).
Follow up:
Well, you see it is indeed possible for you to heal yourself but that does not rule out the fact that you would have to consult a doctor when you are bleeding profusely! I shall be in no way be held responsible for the consequences.
I have a personal experience to share with you. More than a year ago, I broke my right knee in a freaky incident. I was told to undergo a surgery immediately to fix it.
Prior to the surgery, I asked my doctor when I would be able to walk again. His response was absolutely unprecedented. In fact, it changed the way I looked at the situation instantly.
“You can walk when you want to but I would give it a couple of weeks.” A little more than 24 hours post surgery, the physiotherapist was not too happy with the progress I was making. My status did not improve for the next 36 hours either.
I kept thinking about how my leg would never look the same again, which was now fixed together by two huge screws! The doctor did say that I can always have the screws removed within a year after the surgery, if I was not comfortable with them.
During the third night of my stay in the hospital, I was lying in the bed wondering why I was being so afraid. The thoughts that followed changed my attitude overnight and I was even able to sit upright with my knees folded in a couple of days!
So what did happen that night? Well, it suddenly struck me that this is my leg and there is absolutely no reason why I can’t walk with it. I no longer wanted to deny myself of the ability to walk again!
I recalled what the doctor said and realized that I am the only one to be blamed for the slow progress. During the next physiotherapy session, the doctor noticed a change in my composure. I appeared absolutely determined and confident.
I placed my foot on the floor and walked with the aid of a crutch, which I would not have dared even day earlier. I knew that the doctor has done his part of the job and the rest was up to me. It is my body, afterall.
The wound healed and in less than a couple of weeks, I was back on my feet, taking strolls around my block twice a day, unaided!
There are thousands of critically ill people throughout the world, who need to know this fact. The cells in your body are being reproduced every day and if you will it, you can do what your doctors have failed to heal.
There are evidences of medical miracles that have occured and you just have to have the faith that you are no different from them.
Think health and be persistent and consistent about it….and I can assure you; just like the thousands of medical experts do, that you have the power to heal yourself.
Let the doctors do their job and you do yours! Bring out the physician in you and you have no idea how effective your abilities are.
Afterall, no so-called ‘dreaded’ disease was created out of thin air. It is just a problem that has to be dealt with your mind. When you arouse thoughts of wellness, you automatically activate atoms that will immediately set out to find that cure….and if you hold on to that thought…you will find that you are much more powerful than any virus that exists on this realm.
