We all have gone through it and know how it feels to sit through endless hours buried in a mountain of textbooks. Some of us would just memorize the text right off the pages while others lift the context from them. I would recommend the latter anyday.
Having an excellent memory is great, especially when you have to remember numerous formulae. However, when it comes to absorbing theories, the better way of getting through all the chapters is by comprehending them. It is easier to lift the context than the entire content.
What does this topic have to do with UToL? Well, it does have a lot to do with it.

What was your favorite subject in school? Which was your least favorite? Why did you hate that subject? Was it because you felt that you could not understand it well or found it too tough? Did it occur to you that you probably found it too tough because you did not like it or rather believed that it was too difficult?
I used to hate Math because I felt that remembering all these formulae was too difficult. I always believed that I will never be able to remember or solve the sums. As a result, I never really did score impressively in Math.
How can you avoid this problem? You just have to change the way you feel about this subject. Start liking it. Take a look at it all over again and remind yourself that you will hold no negative thoughts about it. You will find the subject easier, if you want to.
When you prepare for an examination, be calm and composed. Have a positive outlook towards it. Avoid negative doubts or emotions to cross your mind as you study.
Exams, interviews and marriage create mixed emotions in people. These emotions are linked to them because we believe that they have to be looked at from this perspective.
Changing this perspective will change the result. Every word you study is engraved in your subconscious mind. If you hope that you will remember it, you will only be left with the hope but if you know you will remember it, you most definitely will.
Set the right thought pattern in your mind and passing grades will turn out to be a piece of cake.
