Let’s Not Get Too Comfortable

One thing I have noticed throughout life is – people are never truly happy being where they are, no matter who they are. Each one has his or her unique way of expressing it.
We all want more from life but it all boils down to how many of us actually get down to doing something about it. Like I mentioned in another article:
“If you don’t change your direction from time to time, the change happens anyway but you may not like where you are headed.”
Follow up:
Some of us get so ‘comfortable’ with our lives without realizing that this attitude is denying you of the life you actually wish for. Puffy clouds with words like ‘risky’ and ‘discomfort’ keep hovering overhead as we go about living a life that we make ourselves believe we are happy with.
Risks come to those who keep looking out for them. Discomfort come to those who believe that moving an inch from where they are would come with additional liabilities and stress.
The difference between you and the person you would like to be is the comfort zone you live in. The water in the river has to flow through, over and under objects that come in the way for it to surge ahead. The logic is, we prefer a clear flowing river to a mug of water that has been stagnating for months.
The comfort zone may seem cozy for now and it may even make it look like the best place to stay in until something else comes along. Your bubble may burst any moment and the change that comes with it may not be exactly what you were hoping for.
I am sure that you would prefer to take a sip from the flowing river than the mug! Your life unfolds with every choice you make.
Going after the career or dream you want may require you to make a few adjustments to the ‘comfort zone’ but there is no book of rules that says you will have a long rough path to take. Your path to the new destination is completely under your control.
It will turn out to be exactly as you would want it to be. How can I be so sure about it? Well, quite simply because we all are who we wanted to be, regardless of whether each choice was made consciously or subconsciously.
Define your future and don’t get too comfortable when you get there either. I promise that you will find something more on the other side that you will want. Learn how to get uncomfortable – but with a positive attitude.
Discomfort longs for change. Voluntary change always yields better results than the ones you are made to take. If your mind says you are comfortable at the moment and that always asking for more is greed, the only response I have is:
The Universe has more than enough for all of us to have the lives we want to live. If you say ‘enough’, it is you who have not accessed what is rightfully yours and not destiny or luck. You are a part of this massive Universal energy. You are connected to every element within this magnificent realm and have the innate ability to connect yourself to any of them using different frequencies.
You connect yourself through your thoughts and actions. You have no limits as to what you can access. The only challenge that you face is your mind. You have to quit telling yourself that you are happy the way you are. Why limit yourself to what your emotions and physical self can see when scientific evidence proves that the entire Universe is at available?
The comfort zone you are used to is only an illusion that you have created from your past thoughts. You just have to start creating a new illusion with your mind and you will be able to live the life you want.
It is okay to stop and smell the flowers but remember to move ahead before they wither.7 comments
Someone has said, " A good (confortable) life is the enemy of a better life."
