How is that possible?
When you help those in need and they express gratitude, how does that make you feel? Does it feel great to be appreciated? Would you help them out in future too? You obviously would!
Well, what if your effort is not appreciated and they criticize and humiliate you instead? Would that affect the way you feel about them? What are the possibilities of you jumping in to help them should another similar situation arise? Very bleak? I won’t blame you for that.

Everyone likes to be appreciated. Gratitude, expressed even subtly sends out positive signals that lure more positivity towards you. This applies to everything that exists within the boundaries of this Universe.
Expressing gratitude for the less-perfect things in life will also emit positive signals that will work towards enhancing your situation.
Being grateful for everything does not necessarily mean that you are satisfied with them. It does not imply that you do not require a better life.
Instead, you are being grateful FOR HAVING SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE ELSE DOES NOT HAVE!
That leaky roof may have been annoying you for weeks, but you still need to be grateful for the fact that you do have a roof over your head! Someone out there is less fortunate.
You may feel that you have the worst job in town, but I bet that you would be able to find someone who would find your job a real blessing!
Been in an abusive relationship? Just be grateful for the fact that you are not in one right now. Even if you are still in that relationship, you can be grateful that you still have time to do something about it.
As long as you are alive, you have something to be grateful for. Life is never going to be a huge garden blooming with roses that come without thorns. Its how you feel about the thorns that matter.
If you think your garden has more thorns than anyone else does, think again. Your life would seem so much better to someone else out there.
Things do go wrong for life is never exciting without the curves but if you want less curves in future, learn to love the ones you have now.
Afterall, it could have been worse, but it isn’t!5 comments
It makes your life and the lives of those close and around you so much better as well by eliminating the unnecessary negativity we often see day in and day out. "The Law of Attraction" could be stuck in there too :P Great post! Keep em coming!

having this kind of attitude can be very helpful in life. it can make a person to be more optimistic. if things are not working out, then just the mere thought that at least we have something and that it could have been worse can reduce a lot disappointment and stress.
i think this is a very well written post. its really inspiring and thought provoking.

I am so glad that you agree with what I have to share.
Very beatiful piece of writing in a simple flowing style.
"As long as you are alive, you have something to be grateful for".
very aptly said and we all need to count and recount our blessings everyday so that we will have no time to waste on unproductive thoughts!
Keep it up.
