Find yourself worrying about everything that happens around you lately? Are those work hours really dragging into the nights for your spouse? Is your neighbor spying on you? Why have your pals not been calling you much nowadays? Was it something you said or did at the party last weekend? You get the point??
Well..if you spend a major chunk of precious time worrying over such issues each day, it does not mean that you’re walking away with an award for being the most cautious person in town. It only means that you actually do have more spare time in your hands than you should.
In case you haven’t noticed already, our brains are built to multi-think and that makes it easy for it to get you thinking about something totally different even if you are in the midst of a task that could be put on the auto-pilot mode.
Follow up:
Some tasks like reading an interesting book or giving a lecture requires full attention. Imagine thinking about being in front of your favorite icon when giving a presentation to your clients at work. I doubt that they would be able to connect Britney Spears’s tonsured head with the new building contract!
On the other hand, some tasks like driving and even peeling onions are done on auto-pilot mode. You don’t quite need to keep concentrating on what you do each second. Thus the mind wanders.
On an average, people who do seem to have more of such auto-pilot activities in their schedule tend to be the ones that find it easier to worry. Then, of course there are people who actually don’t do much throughout the day. They rent out their idle minds at times, to the ‘devil’s workshop’. Worry is not a positive emotion and deserves no respect for it breeds fear, confusion and even hatred that could easily flip your smile.
Remember, UToL clearly has spoken about how negative energy clings on to a person who dwells in negative thoughts in previous posts. Your children will grow up to be wonderful, successful people if you would just believe so. Trust nature and the power of the Universe to bring about those thoughts into reality. If you keep wondering what they are up to behind your back , it means that you lack trust and your suspicious nature will reflect in their actions and attitude.
What you think is what you get. Try it often and you will soon have created a life of misery and “I knew it” moments.
How do you avoid these idle thoughts? Well, challenge your mind to it. Find ways to keep it busy. The less time you have to worry, the better the prospects of getting ahead in life.
Driving for a while and have nothing much to do? Well, slip in a motivational CD into the system or listen to some soul inspiring or peppy music. That will help lure positive thoughts.
Multi-tasking, where possible - will only make you a better person. Its better to get too busy than bored. Boredom is worse than some of the deadliest diseases. It can take a sensible person and turn him or her into a nightmare.
Happy thoughts are good…because they energize positivity and reach out to attract more elements that fall under the same frequency. So, if you must think…program your mind to think about positive events or situations.
Any task can evoke positive and negative energy. The sight of a black cat crossing your path may make you cringe with worry while someone else may just pick the soft animal and cuddle it. Life gives you options in everything. Its you who decides your destiny.
Thoughts mould you and your future. Value them and think right!2 comments
